Myrtle Brown was born June 23, 1907 at Lead Hill, Arkansas and departed this life July 17, 1984 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield at the age of 77 years, 24 days.
Myrtle was a member of the General Baptist Church at Cedar Creek and a life-long resident of Taney County. She was united in marriage to John Brown on December 12, 1928.
Survivors are her husband, John; three brothers, Holland Ellison, Sparta; John Ellison, Lampe and Woodrow Ellison, Clinton; one sister, Esther Manes, Aurora and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were July 20, 1984 at the White River General Baptist Association Building in Taneyville with Rev. David Holvick and Rev. Elmer Davis officiating. Burial was in the McCarty Cemetery near Cedar Creek under the direction of Whelchel Funeral Home of Forsyth.
She will be missed by her family and a host of friends, but we know our loss is Heaven's gain.
