Ludmilla came to America in January 1951 with her son Benjamin, age 4 years. Shortly after arriving she met John Baker and they married on 24 Jun 1951 in Alameda County, CA.

After John died in 1981, Ludmilla remarried Richard A. Crooker. She is buried next to John at the Russian cemetery.

BAKER-CROOKER, Ludmilla – Age 70, peacefully at rest in Daly City. Beloved mother of Benjamin, Alice and Irene; dearest mother-in-law of Zoya, Ed and Ruben cherished ‘Baba' of Kathy, Jon, Tamara, Christine, Laura and Andy. A long-time member of the Russian Gospel Temple in San Francisco.
Friends may visit after 4 p.m. Monday and are invited to attend a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. There will be a celebration of funeral service on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the mortuary. Committal Russian Sectarian Cemetery.
