Victor Avram, 84, of Aurora, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN on June 1, 2002. He was born on October 31, 1917 in Aurora, IL, the son of Florence and Elish Avram.
He is survived by Anna Marie, his loving wife of 57 years; his son, Dwight and his wife, Mary, their two children, Tara and David; one brother, Cornelius (Anna Marie) Avram and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Florence (John) Erdie, Theresa (Ted) Gengler and Mary (Peter) Scutru; and three brothers, Louis, Leroy and Howard Avram.
During his lifetime, he was a member of a number of professional and social organizations including, but not limited to, Fox Valley General Contractors Association, Lions Club, Elks Club and the Phoenix Club. He owned and operated Vic Avram Contractors for over 40 years.
His greatest contribution in life was the unconditional love and support that he constantly offered his family; first with his brothers and sisters, and later his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
Victor will always be remembered by his family and friends for his strong character and values, his compassion, his love for life, and his desire to make each person he knew become the best they could be. He gave everything he had, and asked for nothing in return. What mattered most was the love of his family. He will be missed.
