BABCOCK, ROBERT ARNOLD- Age 24, from Homer, Calhoun County, Michigan. Enlisted, 25 Feb. 1864; 2nd Michigan Infantry, Co. I; discharged, 28 July 1865.
West Branch, April 12, 1916.
The funeral of Robert Arnold Babcock, who died at his home in this city Sunday, was held Tuesday. He moved here with his family in 1888 from Calhoun county, where he was born in 1839. He fought in the Civil war, enlisting in company I of the Second Michigan infantry. He was commander of the G.A.R. for a number of years and is survived by three children, Mrs. B. B. Bennett, Miss Clara Babcock and A. R. Babcock, all of this city. Gladwin County Record dated 4-20/1916
