James Ray Hall, 71, of Wardville, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harper's Valley Cemetery with the Rev. Craig Cochran officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born Nov. 13, 1939, in Harper's Valley Community, he was the son of Levi and Beulah (Patton) Hall. He graduated from Kiowa High School. He worked for a carpet factory in Wilburton, the Rubber Plant in McAlester and All State Rubber in Texas before working as a pumper in the oil fields residing in Burkburnett, Texas for several years.
He married Lee Wanda (Thomas) Edgemon on July 8, 1991. He had resided in Harpers Valley and most recently in Coalgate.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended church at Harper's Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Wanda (Edgemon) Hall, of Coalgate; daughters, Alisia Kay Armstrong and husband, Clyde, Houston, Texas, and Theresa Ann Badgett and husband, David, of Texas.
Also, grandchildren, Tina Armstrong, Chrissca Huff, David Badgett, Crystal Badgett, Tommy Hall and Tyler Hall, all of Texas; sisters, Billie Bass and husband, Roy, Grand Prairie, Texas, Joy Wortham and husband, Joe, of Harpers Valley, Barbara Darrell and husband, Raymond, of Kiowa, and Janell Richardson, Bonham, Texas, and a brother, George Hall, of Harpers Valley, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Beulah Hall; a son, Donald Ray Hall; two grandchildren, Kenneth Whitfield and Heather Whitfield; sisters, Dorma Nichols and Betty Franco, and a brother, Roger Hall.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Darrell, Gerald Goddard, Ron Nichols, Amos Hall, George Hall and Gordon Nichols.
