Mildred M. Alexander, 78 and of Dugger, passed away at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001 at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan.
Born Sept. 20, 1922 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Alto and Clarice (Hutchison) Enochs.
She previously had owned and operated a beauty shop in Dugger. She was a member of the First Christian Church and American Legion Auxillary in Dugger.
Survivors include, one son, Randy Alexander of Dugger; one daughter, Regina "Jeannie" Delph of Dugger; two sisters, Margie Decker and Marlene Lucas of St. Augustine, Fla.; four grandchildren, Casey and Kyle Delph, and Jay and Evan Alexander; one great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Alexander in September 1997, and a niece.
Funeral services will be at Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. John Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery.
