Held Tueday
Funeral services for Jim Barker, 89, of
Megargel were held Tuesday morning
in Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. David Walker, pastor of the Obey
Church of God, officiating. He died
Saturday, Apr. 16,1994 in a local nursing
home.
Born February 28,1905, in Wayne,
Okla., he moved to Megargel in 1993
from Scotts Bluff, Neb. He was retired
and had worked at the state hospital in
Pueblo, Colo., and in the oil field. He
and Allie Mae Morelind were married in
1962, in Wallers, Okla. She preceded
him in death July 16,.1991.
He is survived by a daughter, Durlene
Shay of Scotts Bluff; one brother.Emest
Barker of Cisco; two sisters, Delia Kellar
of Megargel and Ella Kellar of
Olney; three grandchildren; and ten
greatgrandchildren.
Burial was in Megargel Cemetery
with arrangements under the direction
of Lunn Funeral Home.
