Joanne Anderson-Bellamy, Ponca City resident, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at her home. She was 76.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Graham officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ken Newport. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral Home.
Joanne V. Huff was born on Jan. 16, 1930, in Ponca City, the daughter of Daniel Earl and Kate Fields Huff. She grew up in Ponca City where she went to Enterprise and Ponca City schools. On Dec. 12, 1945, Joanne married Glen Anderson in Winfield, Kan. They made their home in Ponca City and were blessed with five children. She worked for Titus for several years before her retirement.
Joanne enjoyed gardening, antiquing, cooking for the family, and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She was most happy in the company of family. Joanne was a loving mother and will be dearly missed in the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen in November 1996.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Tim and Sharon Anderson, Tom and Susan Anderson, Jack Anderson, all of Ponca City, and Glenda and Dennis Backhaus of Lenexa, Kan. She is also survived by one sister, Earlene Mowder of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Jim Huff of Blackwell; eight grandchildren, Larry Anderson, Jerry and Sally Anderson, Matthew and Kara Anderson, Ashley and Shane Magnus, James Anderson, Amber Hall, all of Ponca City, Jason Hall of Oklahoma City, Brian and Kim Anderson of Bartlesville, and nine great-grandchildren.
On Jan. 1, 1999, Joanne was married to James Bellamy who preceded her in death on March 31, 2005
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Earl Huff and Kate Huff Henzler; husbands, Glen Anderson and James Bellamy; son, Dennis Wayne Anderson; and brother, John Huff.
