Kessa B. Beckwith, 30, of Ridge Road, New Bethlehem, passed on peacefully early Wednesday morning April 10, 2013, at her home, surrounded by family and friends, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 23, 1982, in Butler; she was the daughter of Donald M. and Leanne R. Hooks Rankin of New Bethlehem.

Kessa was married June 2, 2007, to Nathan L. Beckwith, and he survives.

She was a 2001 graduate of Redbank Valley High School.

Kessa worked as a hygiene assistant for Brookville Dental.

She attended Oakland Church of God in Distant.

Kessa enjoyed gardening and taking care of her children.

She was involved in helping with Redbank Valley Youth Cheerleading and 4-H of Clarion County.

In addition to her parents and husband, Kessa is survived by her three children, Bailey, Braylon and Briggs, all at home; two sisters, Kendra Minnick and her husband, Clint, of Rimersburg and Karina Rankin and her companion, Dustin Libecco, of Clarion; and a brother, Kord Rankin and his fiancee, Kaci, of New Bethlehem.

Also surviving is her father and mother in-law, John and Amy Beckwith of Clarion; two sisters in-law, Rochelle Beckwith of Clarion and Amanda Coradi and her husband, Patrick, of Rimersburg; paternal grandparents, Marshall and Florence Rankin of New Bethlehem; maternal grandparents, Carroll and Lorilee Hooks of Rimersburg; maternal great-grandmother, Myrtle Hooks of Tidal; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Brett Hooks; and a cousin, Larry Miller Jr. "Bubby."

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Oakland Church of God in Distant.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Jimmy Swogger, senior pastor of Oakland Church of God, officiating.

Interment will be in Squirrel Hill Cemetery in New Bethlehem.

Memorials and donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood St., Clarion, is handling arrangements.
