ARCHER, Stanford L., 79, of Paden City, W.Va., died December 17, 2007, in Selby General Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.

He was born December 22, 1927 in Sistersville, W.Va., the son of the late Arthur D. Archer and Sylvia K. Folger Archer.

He retired from Mobay Corp.; and was a Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Jean Lucas Archer in 2002; brother, Loren Archer; and sisters, Juanita Goodfellow and Betty Fetty.

Surviving are son, Craig L. (Jennifer) Archer of New Martinsville, W.Va.; daughter, Stannah Archer of Paden City; grandchildren, Amanda C. Archer of Prince George, Va., Zachary L. Archer of Paden City and Cameron D. Archer of Paden City; brothers, Glen Archer of Kirksville, Mo. and Elliott Archer of Carmel, Ind.; and sisters, June Dally of Sistersville, Margaret Kirkwood of Mayfield, Ky. and Jean Wilson of Marietta, Ohio.

Friends may call at the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Tosi and the Rev. Glen Archer officiating.

Burial in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City.
