Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church for John Q. Adams, 86. Rev. Norris Taylor will officiate.
Mr. Adams died Oct. 27, in M-D Nursing Home. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1936. He had farming and ranching interests, and also was a former implement dealer here. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Young and Vera Hilton, both of Lubbock; two sons, I.N. Adams, Taft, Calif. and Elmer Adams, Lubbock; one sister, Winnie Walton, Merkel; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Thedford Fry, Jack Moore, R.J. Bell, Wayne Beadle, D.E. Woodward, O.L. Kelley, Mac Steele and John Green.

Interment will be in Spur Cemetery.
