James R. Alexander, 95, of Clayton, passed away January 3, 2012. He was born December 28, 1916 to the late John & Mary (Hadley) Alexander in Morgan County, IN. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Stilesville Christian Church. He was a lifelong Hendricks County farmer and also owned and operated Alexander Heating and Cooling until he retired in 1970. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Masten) Alexander; two daughters, Sharon Kelley and Jane Johnson; 5 grandchildren, Cheryl, James and Mitchell Kelley, and Karen Richardson Collins and Brian Richardson; 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday January 8, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Services will be private. Burial, Stilesville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
