On the 27th ult, as Mr Wm C Riner, of Wolf Creek district, Monroe county, was returning to his home, a sharp peal of thunder caused his horse to run away and Mr Riner was thrown from his buggy, receiving injuries which may prove fatal.

Mr Wm C Riner, who was thrown from his buggy while returning to his home in Wolf Creek district, Monroe county, from Alderson, an account of which we gave in our issue of last week, died from the result of his injuries on Monday, the 8th inst. He was 74 years of age and leaves a wife and one son.
