He is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane McNeal of White Hall and Patty Matthews of Hillview; two sons, Gale Adams and Bobby Adams, both of Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Billy Webb, Nicole Adams, Darcie Parris, Lesa McNeal, Joey Johnson, Steven Johnson, Bobby Adams, Michael Dixon and Shawn Matthews; and 13 great-grandchildren. There are four sisters, Sharon Cunningham of Jacksonville, Sandra Goodman (husband, Vernon) and Jan Fisher (husband, Terry), both of Roodhouse, and Vickie Looman of Bradenton, Fla., along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lottie Mae Adams; a son, Fred Adams; and a brother, Steve Adams.
Eugene helped his father operate Adams Ready Mix in Roodhouse for many years. He later operated his trucking business, hauling rock and sand around the area.
Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of White Hall, Illinois.
