FLOYD C. BAKER, 83, 3 Fairfield Road, Carroll Valley, died Friday, March 14, at the Gettysburg Hospital.
He was born Feb. 20, 1903, in Fairfield, son of the late John and Vergie Sanders Baker. He was the husband of Ruth Richardson Baker.
He operated heavy equipment in the area for a number of years. He also drove a school bus in the Fairfield area for 20 years.
Mr. Baker was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Fairfield. He was a member of the Gettysburg Oddfellows and of Good Samaritan Lodge 336 in Gettysburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Roy R. Baker, Waynesboro; one step-son, Cleason M. Richardson of Hagerstown, Md.; one grandson; one step-granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Carol S. Hendrix officiating. Interment will be in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Fairfield, or the Fairfield Ambulance Corps.

Funeral services for FLOYD C. BAKER, 83, 3 Fairfieid Road, Carroll Valley, who died Friday at the Gettysburg Hospital, were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Carol S. Hendrix officiating.
Interment was in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ellis Stine, Gilbert Stine, Paul (Bing) Myers, James Kane, James Landis and Thomas Stultz.
