George married Hettie Lee Cook in Jack Co, TX in November 7, 1928.

The following is from the Jack Co, TX history book. In it Don E. Alcorn wrote about George on Page 234.

"George Washington Alcorn was born May 6, 1902, in Boggy Depot, Indian territory, later to become the state of Oklahoma. George was the youngest child of Charley Duncan Alcorn and Fannie Mary Harrison.

Charley Duncan Alcorn was born March 31, 1870 in Missouri and died December 21, 1942, in Jack County, Texas. He was buried in the Sparks Springs Cemetery located in Jack County. Fannie Mary Harrison was born October 25, 1870, in Mississippi and died December 30, 1936, in Jack County; She is also buried in the Sparks Springs Cemetery.

In 1907 Charley Alcorn moved his family to Sparks Springs, Texas, located a few miles west of Perrin where George lived most of his boyhood years.

On November 7, 1928, George married Hettie Lee Cook at the home of N.C. Turner in Jack County.

Hettie Lee Cook Alcorn is the oldest of six children of Heron and Matie Della Hobson Cook. She was born in Jack County, August 8, 1907. Heron Cook was born Jun e 3, 1884, in Hallettsville, Texas, in Lavaca County. He died in October 1958. Matie Della Hobson Cook was born July 8, 1885, and died August of 1961. They are buried in Perrin Memorial Gardens.

George and Hettie Lee Alcorn settled at Grasshopper, a small community east of Perrin. They then moved to Sparks Springs where thy lived for a sort period of time. In 1940 they moved south of Perrin Parker County where they lived until 1948. They moved south of Perrin in Palo Pinto County in 1949 where they remained until 1958. They then moved to Whitt, located in Parker County, where they lived for a period of eleven years.

During this length of time George Alcorn raised livestock and farmed until 1958. He then obtained a job at a cabinet factory in Mineral Wells, Texas. He continued to raise livestock.

In 1969 when George retired he and Hettie Lee moved to Perrin, Texas where he lived until his death on March 17, 1982. He is buried in Perrin Memorial Gardens.

The children of George and Hettie Lee Alcorn are Thelma Jo Alcorn Scaia, Georgie Lee Alcorn Shemake, Charles Heron Alcorn, Patsy Joy Alcorn Evans, Don Edward Alcorn, Lon Edwin Alcorn (born September 7, 1939 - died September 7, 1939), Della Beth Alcorn, Joseph, Mary Linda Alcorn Rhoades, and Billy Mack Alcorn."
