Galen Rex Beach was born March 2, 1949 in Topeka, Kansas to Ivan and Viola (Koci) Beach and passed away October 4, 2016 in Leslie, Missouri at
the age of 67 years.

Galen graduated from the Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas with a degree in physics and astronomy. Galen enjoyed photography, wood working and gardening, he also loved the outdoors. On August 12, 2008 Galen was united in marriage to Betty Thomason in Union, Missouri. Galen worked as a supervisor at a glass company.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Thomason, Leslie, Missouri; children, Patrick Beach, Olathe, Kansas and Steven Beach and wife, Katie, St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Debra Beach, Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Emily, Conrad and Ellie; brother in law, Jimmy Thomason and wife Kathy, Salem.

Galen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Graveside service and interment for Galen Rex Beach was held Saturday, October 08, 2016 at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery with Gaye Lynn Blankenship
officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
