Mrs. Elma L. Andrew, 73, widow of John Andrew, Wentz apartments, Baltimore Street, died Thursday at 4:20 a.m. in the Warner hospital from a complication of diseases. She had been in ill health for the last 11 years.
The deceased was born in Lafayette, Indiana, a daughter of the late Leander and Mary (Linn) Biggs. She resided in Adams County since she was three years of age, the last eight years of which she resided with her daughter, Miss Dorothy Andrew. Her husband died in March, 1932.
Mrs. Andrew was a member of the Cashtown Reformed church, the Ladies’ Aid society of the church and the Auxiliary of the Albert J. Lentz post of the American Legion.
Surviving are the following children: Harry E. Andrew, Lindenville, New York; Roy L. Andrew, Gettysburg R. 1; Clyde G. Andrew, Orrtanna; Mrs. Earl Smith, Gettysburg; Mrs. Shelby Finkboner, Gettysburg; Mrs. Clifford Biesecker, Orrtanna, and Miss Dorothy Andrew. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services from the Bender funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by the Rev. Nevin Frantz. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery.
