Wife Mary Ellen Cantrell∼Lawrence Co., TN obituary: "Doc" Cantrell, has lived in this county for 46 years. He was the son of Alexander and Arry (Hendricks) Cantrell.
He was married to Miss Ellen Regan (died in 1935) of Sevier Co., TN, and to this union were born 12 children, of which eight are now living.
Mr. Cantrell moved to this county in 1911, settled on a 160 acre farm in the Revilo Community and reared nine children:
Almer J. Cantrell of Sikeston, MO; Bill Cantrell of Summertown, TN; James Cantrell of Decatur, AL; Homer V. Cantrell of Lawrenceburg, TN; O.Q. Burroughs of Summertown, TN; Bernie Cantrell of Verdun, France; Olene Hollman of Loretto, TN; Opal Cornelius of Leoma, TN.
Mr Cantrell married a second time to Ola Wear (no children by second wife).
