The son of Friederich Albers and Wilhelmine Kalkmann, "Johann Albers" married Alvina Kamp about 1908. He was a farmer in north St. Louis County, and they were the parents of 4 children. They later divorced.
Children from first marriage: 2 daughters, 2 sons.
John's second wife was Mrs. Edith Woods. Later in life, he worked as a landscape gardener and was the caretaker of Bethlehem Cemetery in Bellefontaine Neighbors, St. Louis County, Missouri.
Children from second marriage: 1 step-daughter, 1 step-son.
At the time of his death due to a stroke, John was 77 years, 6 months and 3 days old. He was buried on 26 Feb 1959 and was survived by his second wife.
