Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Adams 82, mother of a well-known Cushing man, Ress adams, died in a Chandler hospital Wednesday following an illness of 2 years. She was a resident of Wellston, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Assembly of God Church, Wellston, Oklahoma where she was a member. Burial will be in New Zion cemetery. Curry Funeral Home of Chandler will be in charge of the service.
Born in Celina, Tennessee, she was married there in 1900 to Alvin C. Adams. The couple came to Oklahoma in 1907 & settled at Chandler & had lived in that area since.
Survivors include the husband of the home; 5 sons, Leo Adams & W.L. Adams, Wellston, Oklahoma,Lester Adams & Clyde Adams , Oklahoma City & Ress Adams, Cushing; 3 daughters, Mrs Thelma Slogett, Depew,Oklahhoma, Mrs Lena Buchanan, Oklahoma City & Mrs Mallie Earp, Cushing, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren & 23 great grandchildren, including Roy Adams, Janet Adams, Ronnie Earp, Shirley Earp & Kanen Earp; all of Cushing, a Niece Mrs. Vernie Boles, Cushing & 2 sisters.
