Mrs. Laura McClanahan, 72 years old, died shortly after noon yesterday at a local hospital. Mrs. McClanahan was the widow of the late John H. Hobson, former presiding judge of the county court. She was born at Winona and lived for many years in that community. She was married to Judge McClanahan in 1917. Her home was on the Sparta road. Her husband died in January 1937. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Alexander of Salt Lake City; Edward Alexander of Bremerton, Wash., and George Alexander; four brothers, Harry Allen of Edinburg, Pa.; K. L. Allen of Davenport, Iowa, and Charles Allen of Ames, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert Madgett of Helena; five stepsons, John and James McClanahan of St. Joseph, Shelby and R. L. McClanahan of Hemple, and Lucian McClanahan of Agency, and a grandson. The body is at Rupp's mortuary.
