Mr. Claude Hardison "Red" or "Buddy" Arnold, age 63, of Scottsboro, Alabama, formerly of Shelbyville, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday at New Bethel Cemetery in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Keith Camp will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at Scottsboro Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Alabama.

Visitation will also be 11 AM until 1 PM Wednesday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.

He was born September 8, 1945, in Bedford County, to the late Claude Hardison Arnold, Sr. and Lillie Belle Redd Arnold. He was a retired steel worker. He was veteran of the United States Marines and served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by a son, Jason Arnold, and his wife Kristy, of Rydal, Georgia; a daughter, Julie Thompson, and her husband, Marlon, of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Virginia Neal, and her husband Charles, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and Pamela Faye Fatima, and her husband Robert, of Plainfield, Illinois; four grandchildren, Noah and Kendall Arnold, and Titus and Marlie Thompson. He is also survived by his companion, Desiree Delaney and her daughter Olivia.
