Carl Altmann, 30, from Prussia, arrived at New York 30 May 1870 on the Immigrant ship, UNION, that sailed out of Bremen, Germany and Southampton, England.

Wilhelmine Kalk, 20, from Prussia, arrived at New York 26 December 1871 on the immigrant ship, CHRISTEL, that sailed out of Bremerhaven, Germany.

MARRIAGE:
Carl ALTMANN & Wilhelmine H. KALKE married 19 April 1873 in St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Reformed Church of Detroit, MI. Witnesses at their marriage by Rev. The 1920 Belknap Township federal census show 'Charlie', age 79 and 'Minnie', age 72 living with their son, 'Eddie', age 30. Also living with them is Frank McMara, age 14, adopted.
