KENNETH "KENNY" W. AHLERSMEYER, 62, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Detroit, Mich., Kenny's greatest passion in life was art. This love, led to Ahlersmeyer Artworks where he created custom graphic art designs by hand for many local and national organizations. Kenny had a passion for Harley motorcycles and created custom graphic designs of them. Kenny enjoyed vintage cars, and collecting unique items of days gone by. Surviving are his mother, Helen Lee Ahlersmeyer of Fort Wayne; sisters, Lee Ann (Daniel) Jones and Jan Shaffer, both of Fort Wayne; nieces, Leslie Shaffer and Lisa (Travis) Bledsoe; great-niece, Brooklynn Bledsoe; and great-nephew, Brayden Bledsoe. He was preceded in death by father, Dr. Kenneth W. Ahlersmeyer; and brother, Kurt Ahlersmeyer. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Joel DeSelm officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
