Barbara E. (Cole) Ashman, 83, of Medway, MA, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Glen H. Ashman. Born in Framingham, MA on August 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Flora (Ripley) Cole, and the step-daughter of the late Clinton Orrill. She was the mother of Karen A. Arbour and her husband, Lawrence of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; and the grandmother of the Timothy Arbour; and leaves her three great-grandsons. She was the sister of Shirley Lavin and Phyllis Sanderson, both of Framingham, MA, and Marilyn MacLeod of Naples, FL. She also leaves cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves her cherished cat Lexi. A resident of Medway, formerly of Framingham and Stratford, NH, Barbara worked as an LPN at Framingham Union Hospital until retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Bellingham Bible Baptist Church, the Medway Senior Citizens, and enjoyed reading, crafts and camping. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 19th, at 12:00 Noon at the Edgell Grove Cemetery, Grove St., Framingham, MA with Rev. Richard Mosher officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Bellingham Bible Baptist Church, 365 Hartford Ave., Bellingham, MA 02019 would be appreciated.
