Funeral services for Arch Adkins, Canute farmer, will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Hefner Methodist Church with the Reverends J. S. Cole, Forrest Tyler and O. E. Weeks officiating.

Mr. Adkins was born February 15, 1881 in Walnut Springs, Texas and died January 14, 1963 in an Elk City hospital.

He came from Irdell, Texas to a farm six miles north of Carter and lived there until January 1918, when he moved to a farm south of Canute. He lived there until the time of his death.

He was married April 12, 1904 to Mary Flanary.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Smith, Liberal , Kansas, and Mrs. Susan Phillips, Foss; two granddaughters, Mrs. June Smith of Lone Wolf and Mrs. LaQueta Dowdy of Tulsa.

Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by four sisters and brothers.

Burial will be at the Canute Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.

Services Conducted for Arch Adkins

Funeral services for Arch Adkins of Canute, 81 years old, who died Monday, January 14, were held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 17, at the Hefner Methodist Church. Officiating were the Rev. J. S. Cole, the Rev. Forrest Tyler and the Rev. O. E. Weeks. Burial was made in Canute Cemetery.

Adkins was born in Walnut Springs, Texas, February 15, 1881. He moved from Iredell, Texas, to a farm six miles north of Carter, living there until January, 1918, when he moved to a farm south of Canute. He was married April 12, 1904, to Miss Mary Flanary.

He died in an Elk City hospital January 14.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Susan Phillips of Foss and Mrs. Ruby Smith of Liberal, Kansas; and two grandchildren. A brother and four sisters preceded him in death.
