Services for James Lee "Tweety Bird" Adams, 67, will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brothers Phillip Halters, George Avery, and Patrick Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 11:00 am until service time. Mr. Adams, an employee of the Carroll County Highway Department and farmer, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. He was born on September 20, 1946 in McKenzie, TN to Jack Andrew and Pauline Sawyers Adams. He was Baptist in faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia Adams, a sister Louise Shell, five brothers Homer Adams, Gene Adams. George Adams, Virgil Adams, Albert Adams.

Survivors include a daughter Cindy (Dennis) Coleman of McKenzie, TN, a sister Anne Mai Winston of McKenzie, a brother Pat (Natalie) Adams of Vail, TN, a grandson and granddaughter Dennis Coleman, Jr., and Erica Coleman both of McKenzie.

Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
