Andrew Arthur Abbie, 59, of 509 Morris St., collapsed and died on a Jefferson City street 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Deputy sheriff Jacob B. Wegman, acting coroner, ruled that death was attributed to a lung hemorrhage.

Mr. Abbie was found lying on Capitol Avenue near Monroe street. An ambulance was summoned and he was taken to Charles E. Still Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Mr. Abbie was born in Edinburg, Scotland, the son of Andrew Abbie and Mary Bratten Abbie.

In January, 1959, he was married to Mrs. Pauline Rice, who survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Robert Abbie, Seattle, Wash.; one step-son, John Rice, of the home; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meehan, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Bant Pennington, Oxnard, Calif., and Mrs. Nettie Pennington, state of Wyoming.

Mr. Abbie was a metal worker and was employed by a local auto service firm. Funeral services will be conducted at a local funeral chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Elder N.J. Senzee officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
