Angelina (nee: Schiraldi) Banzul, 62, of Phoenix, passed away on December 21, 2009.
Although Angelina moved to Phoenix in 1975, she was always a 'TRUE" New Yorker, having been born and raised in Brooklyn. As a Career Counselor, she had the opportunity to help people from all facets of life while working for various organizations, which included The Phx Urban League, and The City of Phx, from which she retired.
She is survived by her sons, Martin Schiraldi and Dominick Banzul; grandson, Hayden Newlove; mother, Iyonne Grandfield; sister, Mary Schiraldi; brother, Jack Schirldi; nephews, Christopher Schiraldi and Derrick Banzul; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dominick Schiraldi.
We love her and will miss her more than words can express. She was a wonderful, intelligent, compassionate, and very humorous woman. We wish this blessing to her, as it was her favorite toast: "May your soul be in heaven before the Devil knows you're dead."
A graveside service will be held at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery, 23015 N Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, on Saturday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m.
