Lillian Luck Cashion, 87, of Mooresville, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville after years of declining health. Mrs. Cashion was born on Aug. 15, 1923, in Randolph County and was the daughter of the late Walter and Nova Strider Luck. She was a graduate of Seagrove High School and Jones Business College in High Point. She lived in Greensboro when she met the love of her life, married and moved to Mooresville. Her greatest joy in life was being a homemaker, where she raised her children and enjoyed her grandchildren. Later in life, she worked for the Iredell County Agriculture and Food Extension Service, where she shared her love of cooking and recipes with many local residents. She was a life-long member of Berea Baptist Church in Mooresville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Patrick Cashion; brothers, Roland, Dalton and Paul Luck; and her sisters, Hope Slack, Mary Luck and Madeline Brantley. She is survived by her children, Patricia Kistler and her husband, Steve, of Mooresville; Michael Cashion and his wife, Diann, of Mooresville; Pam Johnson and her husband, Curtis, of Statesville; grandchildren, Stephanie Bonn and her husband, Jacques, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Brian and Will Cashion, of Mooresville, Kristi and Matthew John-son, of Statesville; and great-grandson, Connor Bonn, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Berea Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dan Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Berea Baptist Church, 1015 River Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28117.
