Abraham, 90, passed away Monday. Abie was born in Deir Mimas, Lebanon, the son of Milhem and Naimeh (Kassouf) Abdallah.

He attended Eastern High School and served his country with the U.S. Army, Company K377th Infantry, during WWII. Abie retired from the State of Michigan, Management and Budget with Reproduction Services after 40 years of service.

He was an active member and past board member of St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church, Lansing and a life time member of VFW Post 701. Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips up north. He and his wife enjoyed attending many events and vacations with their children and grandchildren.

Abie is preceded in death by his grandson, Danny, in 1987; sisters, Martha Kassouf and Sarah Apelian.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Marie Albert; sons, Bill (Kelly) Albert and Chuck Albert with fiance, Katherine Randall; grandchildren, Erica (Eric) Giesow, Chelsea (Kees) Groenewegan, Morgan Albert and Billy Albert; great granddaughter, Ella Joy Giesow; siblings, Juliette Kassouf, Georgette Tanios, Mountaha Tanios, Najah Kassouf and George Abdallah; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, at St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church. Interment will follow with military honors provided by VFW Post #701.
A Trisagion service was held Thursday.
