Leon D. Crouch, the son of John Crouch and Bertha (Finley) Crouch, was born July 31, 1938, in Marlow, Oklahoma. He departed this life October 27, 2012, at his home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 26 days. Leon married Florence Workman in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 24, 1983. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving from 1958 to 1964. Leon worked for Campbell Food Company as a refrigeration technician for several years and then worked for Mrs. Smith's Bakery until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, animals, farming and raising cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Robert Crouch, four sisters, Dessie Cowan, Ella Mae Wellman, Hattie Hillard and Georgia Crouch and a stepdaughter, Betty Miller. His surviving family includes, his wife, Florence Crouch, of the home in Stilwell; stepson, Ryan Samms, of Stilwell; two stepdaughters, Lavada Claphan and Teresa Roberts, of Stilwell; one brother, Vance Crouch, of California, and two sisters, Nina Baker, of California and Gertrude Stone, of Missouri, and a host of friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Eugene Kester officiating. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
