Funeral services for Brune Aden were conducted from the United Methodist Church in Akron Wednesday afternoon, January 19, with the Rev. Norman Lentz, pastor of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Rev. Robert Miller, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis, in charge. Interment was in the Akron Cemetery.
Brune Aden was born February 11, 1910, at Adams, Nebraska, the son of Heye M. and Margaret Holz Aden. He was baptized, February 20, 1910, at Hanover, Nebraska, and confirmed May 23, 1926, at Christ Lutheran Church, Pickrell, Nebraska.
He moved to Haxtun in 1930, and had lived in and around Akron since 1946. He was united in marriage to Katherine Ewers on September 29, 1932, at Sterling. They were blessed with three children, Doris Johnson, Clarice Spear and Delbert Aden. Mr. Aden was a farmer and carpenter until ill health forced him to semi-retire in 1965.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary, his parents, one sister, and his step-father, John M. Ideus.
His survivors include his wife, Katherine, daughters, Doris and husband, Harold Johnson and Clarice and husband Glen Spear of Akron, son, Delbert and wife, Nioma of Craig, eight grandchildren, two stepbrothers, Men Ideus and Albert Ideus, both of Cortland, Nebraska, a stepsister, Anna Otterberg of Beatrice, Nebraska, a great number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
