Olivia L. (Wolf) Starken Allyn, 95, of Newburgh, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Woodlands Convalescent Center.
Olivia worked as office manager for Jerry Robertson's Oil Report, which became part of Petroleum Information, for 30 years until her retirement in 1972. She was a founder and first president of the Tri-State Desk and Derrick Club of Evansville. She wrote an oil column for the Evansville Courier and an annual review for the Tulsa World and the Evansville Courier for many years. She was a member of the Association of Petroleum Writers.
Olivia was also a member of St. John's East United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gus Starken; second husband, Elbert Allyn; brothers, Adolph, Albert, and William Wolf; and sister, Anna Collier.
Olivia is survived by her stepdaughter, Molly Williamson of Henderson, Ky.; niece, Helen Hammer of Evansville; nieces and nephews; one cousin; step grandchildren, Bill Niehaus of Louisville, Ky., and Allyn Williamson of Henderson, Ky.; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
