Mrs. Barrett, 83, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.
She was a native and longtime resident of the Linwood Community of Neshoba County. She had worked at Midland Shirt Factory in Union, MS for many years. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Neshoba Baptist Church where she was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class and the Joy Club.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert R. Dyess and Otha Barrett; son, Tommy Dyess; sisters, Katie Hearn and Betty Robertson.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Beale of Canton; sons, Robert K. Dyess of Philadelphia and Andy Dyess of Brandon; stepsons, Tommy Barrett and Delynn Barrett, both of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several beloved nieces, nephews and their families.
Pallbearers will be Jay Wadford, Eric Wadford, Barry Dyess, Brian Dyess, Mark Dyess and Charles Bond. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Dyess and Nick Hearn.
