COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Glen Darmon Alcorn, 55, of Nashville and formerly of Cookeville will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26, from the chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Cookeville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the funeral home.

Mr. Alcorn died Thursday, March 23, 2006, in Nashville after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 5, 1950, in Cookeville to the late Hubert Lee and Madie Ellen Fields Alcorn.

Mr. Alcorn was a maintenance associate with Burger King Corp. and a born again Christian.

His family includes two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and James Franklin of Corsicana, Texas, and Brandi Alcorn of Nashville; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Lee Alcorn, of Corsicana, Glen D. Jr. and Sherry Alcorn of Henderson, Texas, and Adam Glen Alcorn of Nashville; three sisters, Linda Millership of Knob Noster, Mo., Pamela Hosse of Smyrna and Pearl Haynes, of Charlotte, N.C.; two aunts,
Edna Cowan of Algood and Maggie Lyles of Cookeville; eight grandchildren; four nieces; and three nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Alcorn was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jessie Richard Compton; infant brother Lee Alcorn; and grandparents Isaac Dillard and Maudie Lou Stout Fields and Fitzhugh Lee and Ethel Mae Huddleston Alcorn.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Rev. Tom Lyles will officiate the services.
