James Haskell Adcock, 30, died at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs J P Adcock, Wednesday afternoon in Cookeville. He had been in failing health for several months and seriously ill for about six weeks. He was born in Sparta, but had resided in Cookeville for about 8 years. Before becoming hospitalized for illness, he had been a truck driver. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Besides his parents, he is survived by 3 sisters, Mrs Oliver Lynch, Mrs Herman Phy and Mrs Coe Pruitt; one brother, Willie Edgar Adcock, all of Cookeville.
Funeral services were held at the home this afternoon by Rev Dow A Ensor with burial in the City cemetery.
