Services for Mrs. George W. Andruss, 71, were held at the First Baptist church. John E. Lewis, pastor will officiate with Rev. Rollo Davidson, pastor of First Methodist assisting. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Andruss moved to Baylor County in 1918. She had been a patient of the hospital for two weeks.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars post at Seymour is named in honor of Mrs. Andruss' only son, Eldred J. Andruss, Baylor County's first World War II casualty.
Survived by her husband; one sister - Mrs. John A. Couch of Haskell; nieces and nephews.
In 1943, Mrs. Andruss was living at Galveston, Texas. Her sister, Mrs. John A. Couch had visited her sister there. Mrs. George W. Andruss, only son, a bombadier in the US Army air forces had been killed in action recently in Hmburg, Germany.
