Johnnie Sue(Tidwell) Ball, of Seymour went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 19, 2012. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Seymour, with Dr. Tommy Culwell and Dr. David Warren officiating. Burial to follow in the Masonic Cemetery. Services are under direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born August 27, 1937 in Seymour, to John Kenneth and Ila Mae Tidwell. She married Lavoye Ball on October 15, 1951. The Tidwell family owned the Rock Inn Cafe in Seymour for 57 years until they transferred ownership in 1996. She also worked in the business office at Seymour Hospital until she retired to become a full-time wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour and was active in various church functions.
Survivors are Dewanna (Ball) Stone and husband, Gary of Abilene, Texas, Trina (Ball) Hostas and husband, Eric of Seymour, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Lagena Ball Hostas(who was married to Kevin Hostas of Seymour, Texas).
Visitation at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home
