Vivian Christine Dodson Agin, of Independence, MO (formerly of Overland Park, KS) passed away Monday, August 23, 1999, at Independence Regional Health Center.

Mrs. Agin was born October 18, 1916, in Kirksville, MO. She worked for many years with the Johnson County, KS, election board. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and a member of Ladies Organization of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Santa Fe Railroad.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Edgar Harvey Agin Jr., in 1984, and an infant daughter, Martha Sue.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Donna Agin, Independence, MO; her sister,Geneva Corinne Emmert, Mt. Olive, NC; and many nieces and nephews. (Arrangements: Geo. C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel, Independence, MO)

Memorial services will be 8 p.m. Thursday, at Geo. C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
