Thelma Wilson Adams, age 92 of Lenoir City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2008.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City where she will be remembered as Granny Adams to the kids and adults in the nursery at the church where she worked for over 20 years.

Preceded in death her by husband, Joseph E. Adams and son, Dale E. Adams.

Survived by her children, Voncile Dykes and husband, Joel of Zephyrhills, FL, Dot Ramsey and husband, Lowell of Knoxville, Dink Adams and wife, Carol of Powell, Janice Campbell and husband, Ken of Knoxville, Marty Witt and husband, Jim of Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Barbara Adams of Lenoir City; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Jim Heyer of Florida; sister, Betty Comstock of Florida; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday with funeral services to follow at 6 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons: Chuck Ramsey, Eddie Dykes, Tyler Gordon, Nick Gordon, Jared Pearce, Shea Ramsey, Braxton Adams, Buddy Smith, Matt Baker and Travis Tillman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2085 Simpson Road East, Lenoir City, TN 37772.
