OBITUARY
Andrew Jackson King, aged 82 years, died Friday morning at 6 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Miller, No. 214 Hazel place, after an illness of several years. The deceased was born in Illinois and came to this state when he was ten years of age. His boyhood days were spent on a farm on Beaver Creek, west of the city and later he came to this city. He served four years in the Civil War in coimpany C Fourth Tennessee infantry and was a member of Ed Maynard post, GAR.
He is survived by his widow, one daughter and one son. The latter is M.R. King, who resides in Oklahoma.
The funeral services will be conducted from the home Monday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. W.A. Atchley, pastor of the Broadway Baptist church, officiating. following the services at the residence, the cortege will proceed to King's burying ground, about nineteen miles west of the city, where the services at the grave will be under the auspices of Ed Maynard post, GAR.
