First marriage to Grace McQuilliams McCaig in 1936 in Arkansas. Second marriage in Arkansas during 1939 to Mary Louise Carter McCaig (1919-1965). Third marriage in 1966 to Pauline Robinson McCaig Lane (1938-2001).
Children of Horace E. McCaig and Mary Louise Carter McCaig are: Elsie Louise McCaig Culpepper, Horace Eugene "Gene" McCaig, Michael Everett "Mike" McCaig, and Chester Glenn "Chet" McCaig. Child of Horace E. McCaig and Pauline Robinson McCaig is: Anita Dawn McCaig.
HORACE E. MCCAIG, 68, retired mechanic with Navaho Trucking died April 5, 1983, at his home in Westport, TN. He was a World War II Veteran. His parents were James Arthur McCaig and Ora Hughes McCaig. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Robinson McCaig of Westport; three sons Gene McCaig of Byhalia MS, Mike McCaig of Nashville, and Chet Memphis of Memphis; two daughters Mrs. Elsie Culpepper of Millington TN and Miss Anita McCaig of Westport; four sisters Mrs. Ann Holland of Shalimar FL, Mrs. Estelle Black and Mrs. Grace Smith of Memphis and Mrs. Lena Justus of Ashland MS; two brothers Charles McCaig of Mobile AL and Rogers McCaig of Jackson MI; and 4 grandchildren. Services were at Dilday Funeral Home April 7th with burial at Jamison. (Published 4-13-1983 in The TENNESSEE REPUBLICAN, Huntingdon, TN)
