Helen G. Albertson, 91, formerly of Stine Road, Danville, and a guest at the Bloomsburg Health Care Center since December 2004, died Friday, April 1, 2005, at Bloomsburg Health Care Center.
She was born April 21, 1913, in Danville, the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel Deightmiller Mausteller.
Helen spent most of her life on a farm in Montour County and worked at the Holiday Inn in Danville for 12 years. Before entering the Bloomsburg Health Care Center, she lived with her daughter, Grace, for one year and with her daughter, Marcella for 4 1/2 years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Baylor in 1947; her second husband, Alfred Letterman in 1968; and her third husband, Fred Albertson in 1993. Also preceding her was a daughter, Helen Henry, in 2001 and a brother, Howard Mausteller, in 1991.
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. William (Marcella) Robinson and Mrs. Charles (Grace) Drum, both of Danville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepsons: Harold Albertson of Drums; Ned Albertson of Berwick; Paul Albertson of Foundryville; David Albertson of South Carolina; Fred Albertson of Colorado; Roland Albertson of Tennessee; half brother: Paul Mausteller of Bloomsburg; and half sister: Alice Hartman, Espy.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Brady Funeral Home, Inc., with the Rev. Allen Acor, pastor of Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday at noon until the time of service.
