Elizabeth and William Q. Hughes are the parents of Alabam J. Petty, also buried in this cemetery. Alabama J. Hughes married my great great grandfather, Joseph Petty. She died in 1871 and their daughter, Minnie Belle Petty was born in 1871. I am assuming the birth and death are related. I have not yet located Joseph's place of interment so that they could be linked, however. Nor have I found Minnie Belle Petty Ballard's place of interment yet. Alabama is not any blood relation to me,however. After her death Joseph remarried and had additional children, one of whom is my great grandfather.
