ST. TAMMANY PARISH—Glenn A. Alford, Sr., a retired Louisiana State Police lieutenant, died Saturday [September 14] at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 83.
Mr. Alford was born in Tangipahoa Parish and lived in Covington for the past 61 years.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Givens Alford; two sons, John and Glenn Alford, Jr.; four daughters, Nancy A. Kynerd, Susan A. Monlezun, Mary Lou Alford, and Carolyn A. Ward; a sister, Warrene A. Pierce; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington. Burial was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
