The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Adams was Tuesday afternoon at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Adams died at the Nuckolls County Hospital Feb. 1 at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 25 days.
Mrs. Adams moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Superior in March, 1971, where she made her home until about six weeks ago when she entered the hospital.
Elizabeth Pearl Adams, one of eight children of John Armstrong and Martha Ellen Patterson McKee, was born on a farm near Elmo, Mo., July 7, 1886. She was baptized as a baby and grew up near Elmo.
In 1905, she was married to Claude E. Adams at Blanchard. Iowa. To this union one son, Dale, was born and a daughter, Dorothy, was adopted.
Mrs. Adams was a charter member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Blanchard. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Adams moved to the Superior area in 1909 where she has made her home since that time.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Claude, who died Feb. 25, 1946, her son, Dale, who died Feb. 13, 1970, three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (sic) Dillon (Dorothy), Hastings, her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clarabel Adams, Superior, six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Bruce Martin officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
