A marker was erected by Ed Bridges for family members who were sisters: Amy Virginia "Virgie" Andersen and Lois Linnete Andersen. The marker is in front of the GAR headstone at Pine Grove cemetery for Philip Physic Hippert (the two girl's grandfather). Virgie and Lois were the daughters of Anders Julius Andersen and Mary Elizabeth (Hippert) Andersen. Mary E. Hippert came to Graniteville, Nevada County, California in 1878 when she was 12 years old, she was the daugther of Philip and Isabella Hippert.
Lois died at Byron Hot Springs in California, she had been ill and was taken there in hopes that the hot springs would help her health.
