Helen Irmalee Woods Doyle passed from this life November 10, 2007, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a brief illness. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Born June 29, 1925, into a farm family near Crowder, Oklahoma, to Charles Clifton Woods and Emma Melvina Cobb Woods. She was one of seven children born to their union.
She spent many happy years around that area of Oklahoma and married James Monroe Doyle 61 years ago and had two children, Charlotte Ann and James Roy.
Through the years, she developed a love of sewing for herself and others. During her mid-years, she even tried her hand at upholstery and was very accomplished at both. She also was a great cook and homemaker.
Aunt Dute, as she was known to her many nieces and nephews, was very fond of babies, young children, roses, and talking with her friends and relatives either at the house or on the phone.
Survivors include her son, James and wife, Loretta (Susie); their daughter, Vanessa Michele; brother, Roy Dale Woods of Weleetka, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Doyle on October 23, 2007; her parents; her daughter, Charlotte Ann; brothers, Dillard Elwood Woods, Manuel Francis Woods, infant, Gilbert Dennis Woods and sisters, Opal Audrey Woods and infant, Nevada Irene Woods.
Interment will be private at the family plot in Silver City, New Mexico. Arrangements were under the direction of Daniels Family Funeral Service of Albuquerque.
